We use a variety of couriers: Australia Post, Aramex, and Australia's 100% carbon neutral delivery service - Sendle.
FREE standard shipping Australia wide on orders over $150 (under 3kg, excludes large items and furniture).
Shipping Australia wide $10 regular or $30 express (under 3kg, excludes large items and furniture).
Additional freight charges for large items and furniture are calculated once we have received your order depending on the size and weight of items ordered and the delivery destination. We will contact you with details on costs prior to delivery.
International shipping from $35 for a small parcel or poster tube, $50 for a medium parcel and $75 for express international. We cannot deliver furniture internationally sorry.
Please be aware that orders may experience delays in packing and delivery due to covid19 restrictions. Our apologies during this period of uncertainty. We’re doing our best to get your order to you asap.
There is a mandatory 'Authority To Leave' on all parcels. We strongly advise you make sure that your order is shipping to a "secure" location, as once a package has been delivered, we cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen packages.
Once you have placed your order please allow 1 - 3 business days processing and packing, Mon - Thurs. You will receive an email shipping confirmation including tracking number. On weekends and public holidays orders will be processed the next business day.
Standard shipping estimates from our couriers are:
- Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane 3-7 business days.
- Perth, Darwin, Hobart 4-14 business days.
- International shipping 1-4 weeks.
We can deliver to PO box or Street Address for small items only. Large and heavy items to Street Address only.
Please ensure all your details are submitted correctly when placing your order. We process our orders via an automated system, any errors when submitting your details may result in your order being sent incorrectly. Please check your order confirmation, and email and contact us to adjust errors before our shipping process begins. Parcels which are returned to us as undeliverable will incur a re-dispatch fee.
We reuse and recycle packaging wherever possible. We try to use only cardboard or recyclables but should extra care be needed for delicate items, we either reuse bubblewrap, shredded paper, wood wool etc from parcels we have received. Where possible we use compostable satchels for small parcels.
Once a parcel has left our warehouse, it is the property of the courier. Long Island Trader is not legally responsible for lost or damaged goods. Please ensure all shipping details and packaging are kept in case further investigation is required.
While we do everything we can to ensure your order is delivered in a timely manner, we will not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by any person as a result of delay caused by our carrier that we have no control over or by any event which is out of our reasonable control or foresight.
We are not liable for any damages incurred once the item leaves our warehouse during transport. This is something you will need to follow up with courier or delivery company.
Additional International shipping terms
International customers are responsible for any local taxes and duties. This is controlled by your local government. We do not accept international returns due to the recipient being charged customs fees or duties. We are legally required to declare total value paid on international shipments.
