Shipping policy
We use a variety of couriers: Australia Post, Aramex, and Couriers Please.
- FREE standard shipping Australia wide on orders over $200.
- Shipping Australia wide from $15 regular or $25 express (under 2kg).
- Items over 3kg or excess size will incur extra shipping charges.
Shipping information
There is a mandatory 'Authority To Leave' on all parcels. We strongly advise you make sure that your order is shipping to a "secure" location, as once a package has been delivered, we cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen packages.
Once you have placed your order please allow 2 - 5 business days processing and packing. You will receive an email shipping confirmation including tracking number. On weekends and public holidays orders will be processed the next business day.
Standard shipping estimates from our couriers are:
- Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane 5-10 business days.
- Perth, Darwin, Hobart 7-14 business days.
- International shipping 1-8 weeks.
- Current government covid restrictions delay shipments unfortunately, please contact couriers directly for more information.
We can deliver to PO box or Street Address for small items only. Large and heavy items to Street Address only.
Please ensure all your details are submitted correctly when placing your order. We process our orders via an automated system, any errors when submitting your details may result in your order being sent incorrectly. Please check your order confirmation, and email and contact us to adjust errors before our shipping process begins. Parcels which are returned to us as undeliverable will incur a re-dispatch fee.
FREE pickup / click and collect your order at our Currumbin warehouse.
Please note our warehouse is not open all the time, we will arrange a time you can collect with our staff. Please wait for confirmation that your order is ready. We're happy to make a time that suits you (within business hours Monday - Thursday 10am till 5pm). Pick up is usually ready in 24hours, sometimes exceptions can be made for urgent same day click and collect.
Please email us to get the pick up code before placing your order.
Packaging
We reuse and recycle packaging wherever possible. We try to use only cardboard or recyclables but should extra care be needed for delicate items, we either reuse bubblewrap, shredded paper, wood wool etc from parcels we have received. Where possible we use compostable satchels for small parcels.
Shipping terms
Once a parcel has left our warehouse, it is the property of the courier. Long Island Trader is not legally responsible for lost or damaged goods. Please ensure all shipping details and packaging are kept in case further investigation is required.
While we do everything we can to ensure your order is delivered in a timely manner, we will not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by any person as a result of delay caused by our carrier that we have no control over or by any event which is out of our reasonable control or foresight.
We are not liable for any damages incurred once the item leaves our warehouse during transport. This is something you will need to follow up with courier or delivery company.
We pack every order with great care. Parcels are covered for up to $100 insurance. Please add Shipping Insurance if additional cover is required.
Christmas
Please note our warehouse is closed each Christmas from the 21st Dec to the 7th of Jan. All orders placed during this time will be shipped once we return. Thank you for your patience.
We recommend express post for all orders placed in December as all couriers are busy with the Christmas rush.
